Meet Sheilah
As a child I was constantly
drawing. I was so excited when my mother gave me a
chalkboard and colored chalk! - draw, erase, and draw
again -- hour after hour. My first finger painting at
age 5 hangs in my studio today.

Of course I grew up...life got busy. For many years I didn't
use my artistic talents. Then one day I took a
painting class on a whim and completed a painting in one
day! That was all it took to get the creative process
awake again.
I have concentrated my art on the outdoors because of my
great love of animals, wildlife, and nature. I'm
also musically blessed and have been playing the piano since
the age of 4.
The name "Songbird" came about very naturally; my family
name on my Grandmother's side is Bird and Song
represents my love of music.
Today I live with my husband and my Australian Shepherd,
Mistletoe, on a small ranch near Fort Worth but we spend as
much time as possible at our cabin in Arkansas.
